Biography

Betraeus is a four piece progressive death metal band from Manchester UK, forming in 2009 Betraeus have consistently shown to do the impossible in managing to create an original sound which could be labelled as Atmospheric, Progressive & Death; however this wouldn’t encompass entirely the wide scope of their music. As audiences become lulled into a false sense of security by lengthy ambient periods they are suddenly met with an onslaught of blasting death metal at its finest incorporating technical menacing riffs alongside ruthless beats.

In 2010 Betraeus won the Bloodstock Metal To The Masses competition at Grand Central, Manchester and successfully went on to play the New Blood stage at BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR 2010 alongside the likes of Opeth, Cannibal Corpse & Children Of Bodom.
