PASSION RACING : Motocross team : Officially Energised by Battery Energy Drink in UK
Passion Racing is a new amateur motocross team for 2012.
Its made up of over 30 years experience between both riders led by youth ACU schoolboy British Champion, Chad Yarranton.
Chad says;
" I have been able to put Passion Racing together this year simply because of the fantastic support we have been given by all of the sponsors involved. Its something I have always wanted to do and finally being able to do it is an amazing feeling.
I started motocross when I was 6 years old as a hobby and a bit of fun. 17 years on and nothing has changed. Motocross is like a drug and gets into your blood, its addictive and slowly over the years the fun becomes a passion, hence the name.. This is why Passion Racing appeals to everyone.
I noticed Lewis Abbott last year but I have known him a long time and have watched him grow up. I spoke with him towards the end of last year about joining my team as my MX2 rider and he gladly accepted my offer. Lewis and myself will be contesting in the AMCA Championship this year but Lewis will also be heading overseas to represent Great Britain in the IMBA MX2 European Championship so Passion will also be spreading its wings in its first year by going to europe. We are looking forward to a successful first year as a team and hope that we can continue our team and success in the years ahead"
Battery Energy Drink will be one of the main sponsors of Passion Racing for 2012 and we look forward to supporting them and growing our brand as well as the team together. www.itsmypassion.co.uk

LEWIS ABBOTT - IMBA rd1 DENMARK.
Lewis and his father Nick set off on Friday for the long drive to Denmark last weekend for the first round of the IMBA MX2 European Championship.
Lewis felt comfortable with the bike and his speed on the deep sand track all weekend and came away with some good points to start off the season strong.
Moto1- Lewis gated well and rode strong to finsh just outside the top 10 in 11th.
Moto2- Once again he gated well and was running in a comfortable 8th but with 2 laps to go, he made a small crash resulting in the bike not restarting for 2 laps only managing to finish in 21st.
Moto3- Lewis was running 4th in the last moto but crashed on the opening lap. He re-mounted and clawed his way back from last to 14th untill suffering from a bike problem which caused Lewis to DNF the moto.
A weekend full of up's and downs but also a lot of positives to take away from this experience.
We all look forward to the next round of the IMBA but more importantly the first round of the AMCA Championship which is scheduled to run June 10 at Longlane in Shropshire.

BRITISH MASTERS RD2 - FOXHILLS.
What a difference a day makes, thanks to a dry weekend
at Foxhills for round 2 of the British Masters.
With everyone looking forward to riding
the world famous circuit and with the track in perfect conditions thanks to the organiser
of the event Ken winstanley and all of his crew doing an excellent job yet again
racing was going to be exciting to watch in all classes.
In the Amateur MX1 class,
Passion racing's team owner Chad Yarranton shown good throughout the weekend. Unfortunately
poor starts and a few small crashes cost him a top 10 overall finish placing him
in 12th. Never the less with his lap times consistently within the top 3 every race
his is deffinately one to watch out for when he minimises on his early race mistakes
and gets his starts dialled in.
In the Mini masters it was the turn of the two youth
riders Jason stone and new team member Josh Bunter.
Josh had a great weekend finishing
in 8th overall proving that Passion Racing had done the right thing in snapping up
this promising young rider.
Jason stone struggled on this demanding track but gained
valuable experience throughout the weekend improving on his speed and lap times.
A
much better round 2 for all team riders, showing everyone has improved and will continue
to do so ready for round 3 at Whitby in May.
LEWIS ABBOTT.
Lewis made the trip up to Brookthorpe last weekend as all the spaces
in the pro class at the British Masters at Foxhills were full.
There was some strong
competition for him to deal with as two of the major title contenders in the AMCA
Championship were also at this event - Redeleven's Carl Benjamin and last years AMCA
Champion Shane Holmes.
Lewis lead race one but had a small sli...p off ending the
race in 9th place but shown fantastic lap times of 1:55 compared to the leaders times
of 1:57's.
Lewis placed 2nd in race two and ended the weekend on a high by taking
victory in the last race over Benjamin.
He is gaining confidence with each ride and
is showing to be a real Challenger for this years AMCA Championship which will start
on June 10th at Long Lane in Shropshire.
Lewis will also be appart of a 5 man team
this year representing Great Britain in the MX2 IMBA Championship which will see
him racing in places across Europe such as, Denmark, holland, chech republic and
Germany.
